Isla Catalina

Is a tropical island located 1.5 miles from the mainland on the south-east corner of the Dominican Republic, near La Altagracia and La Romana. It is an occasional destination for cruise ships on Caribbean routes. In particular, Costa Cruises has a private beach on the island. Their ships anchor offshore and transport passengers to shore via tender.

Sosua


SosĂșa is a small town in the Puerto Plata province of the Dominican Republic. Located approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) from the Puerto Plata International Airport (POP), the town is accessed primarily by Camino Cinco, or Highway 5, which runs much of the length of the country's North coastline. The town is divided into three sectors: El Batey, which is the main section where most tourists visit, SosĂșa Abajo, and Los Charamicos

Lake Enriquillo

Lake Enriquillo is a lake in the Dominican Republic and is the largest lake and lowest point in the Caribbean and the lowest point on any ocean island. It is one of only a few saltwater lakes in the world inhabited by crocodiles. Lake Enriquillo is located in a rift valley formed by the Enriquillo-Plantain Garden fault that extends 79 miles (127 km) from Port-au-Prince Bay in Haiti in the west, to near Neiba Bay in the Dominican Republic in the east. This fault was responsible for the catastrophic 2010 Haiti earthquake.

Bahia de las Aguilas

Bahia de las Aguilas is an 8 km long beach along the southwestern coast of the Dominican Republic. It belongs to the Jaragua National Park, and it is considered by Dominicans one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The thing that visitors like the most about this beach is that is totally isolated. it is located 323 km away from Santo Domingo and approximately 25 km from Pedernales. 

Dolphin Island Park

Bayaguana

Bayaguana is a municipality of the Monte Plata province in the Dominican Republic. The municipality has an estimation of 40’000 inhabitants, of which 20’000 resided in urban areas and 13’771 in rural areas. This small city was founded in 1606, when Spain resettled colonists from the northern and western part of Hispaniola closer to Santo Domingo. It has one of the most beautiful rivers existing in the Dominican Republic. It is called Comate river
