Higuey is the capital city of the Eastern province of La Altagracia. It is one of the economically fastest- develiping cities in the country and named the Capital of the Dominican Tourism because is located 30 minutes away from Punta Cana. It has an estimation of 150'000 inhabitants. The city is the place for living of almost all the workers working in hotels or exxcursion of the area Punta Cana.
